Certificate in Interpersonal Neurobiology

*New course starting in May 2022*

Information:

Myself and The Link Centre are offering a introductory certificate in an Interpersonal Neurobiology via Zoom.

Interpersonal Neurobiology is interested in weaving together research from multiple different fields such as neuroscience, psychotherapy, cognitive science, evolutionary biology, development psychology, and more.  Daniel Siegel proposed this multidisciplinary field, as he recognised the need to understand human beings in terms of the mind, the body, and relationships.

During the course, will be considering some of the following questions:

  • How does our evolution and brain development effect who we become in the world?

  • How does the quality of our relationships effect our physical state and wellbeing?

  • Why does psychotherapy and counselling work?

  • What are the neurological mechanisms of psychotherapeutic change?

In this 30 hour  introductory Certificate in Interpersonal Neurobiology we will cover some of the major contributing ideas to the theory, and begin to explore this holistic view point of human beings.  We shall touch upon the work of Daniel Siegel, Louis Cozolino, Stephen Porges (Polyvagal theory), and others.

It will be delivered online, interactively and experiential.

A Link Centre Certificate in Introduction to Interpersonal Neurobiology will be provided at the end of the course.

Course Dates:

12th Nov, 19th Nov, 26th Nov, 3rd Dec, 10th Dec, 17th Dec, 7th Jan, Monday 11th Jan, 14th Jan, 21st Jan from 6pm – 9pm.
